Kids In Transition to School (KITS) in SPS! SPS Programa de KITS!
The Kids in Transition to School (KITS) summer program is a FREE program that is available to any child who will be entering kindergarten in the Springfield School District in Fall, 2024.

During the KITS program your child will:
*Learn to make friends and cooperate.
*Build beginning reading and counting skills

You will:
*Learn skills to reduce parenting stress.
*Learn how to connect with your child’s school.

KITS will be located at Guy Lee, Maple, Mt. Vernon, and Riverbend elementary schools. This program will run four days a week, Mondays - Thursdays, for two hours per day, from either 9:30-11:30 or 1:00-3:00. KITS will begin Monday, July 8 and runs for 6 weeks.

Interested families are encouraged to register by Friday, May 31st and will be notified of their registration status beginning Monday, June 17th.

IMPORTANT: Prior to participating in KITS, your child MUST be registered as a Kindergarten student in Springfield. To enroll your child in school please visit: https://www.springfield.k12.or.us/enroll 

El programa de verano de KITS es un programa GRATIS para todos los niños en Springfield que acudirán al kínder en el otoño del 2024.

Durante el programa de KITS sus hijos:
*Aprenderán a conocer amigos y a cooperar.
*Comenzaran a formar las habilidades principiantes de lectura y de contar.

Ustedes:
*Aprenderán habilidades para reducir el estrés de los padres.
*Aprenderán cómo conectarse con la escuela de su hijo/a.

Los KITS estarán ubicados en la escuelas de Guy Lee, Maple, Mt. Vernon, y Riverbend. El programa se ejecutará cuatro días a la semana en lunes -  jueves por dos horas cada dia, entre 9:30-11:30 o 1:00-3:00. KITS comenzará el lunes 8 de julio y estará en sesión por 6 semanas.

Alentamos a todas las familias interesadas a postularse antes de viernes, 31 de mayo, y serán notificadas sobre el estado de su solicitud antes del lunes, 17 de junio.

**Los estudiantes y el personal seguirán los protocolos de salud y seguridad recomendados por COVID-19, incluido el uso de máscaras, distanciamiento social, y requisitos de cuarentena.
