New Project Leaders 2024-2025
Please complete the survey below, to let us know if you would be interested in co-leading any projects for the upcoming 2024-25 program year.

Projects can be led in a variety of ways:

1. Adult led by project leaders: led by adults who are skilled in the project area and develop the project content

2. Youth led with project leaders to assist: youth members serve as junior/teen leaders and develop the programming with the assistance of 4-H volunteers

3. Outsourced: project is led by skilled members of the community who want to pass on their knowledge about a hobby/craft. Project leaders serve by communicating meeting times to members and being physically present at meetings to ensure we have two volunteers onsite.

4. Team led: several project leaders work together to break down the work further by only leading 1-2 meetings per year

Project Leaders must become a 4-H certified volunteer, which primarily involves Livescan fingerprint, online training, and registering for 4-H. We will help guide you through the process.

To count as a 4-H project there must be 6 hours of project time during the 4-H year (July 1 to June 30). This can look like six 1-hour sessions, three 2-hour, one 6-hour, etc. More project time is totally ok, but 6-hours is the minimum.
