As your Member of Parliament, I want to make sure that my team and I are working as best as we can on your behalf.
So I’m asking for your feedback and suggestions.
First, let me know what you think about the direction of our federal government, the leadership of Prime Minister Trudeau, and the local representation you’ve received from me and my office.
Second, let me know if you have any suggestions for improvements, whether it’s new ideas you want me to fight for in Ottawa, or ways we can engage with constituents more effectively.
When I first decided to get involved in politics, I committed to grassroots democracy and to making our politics about ideas. As your Member of Parliament, I remain committed to those goals. The more you provide me with your ideas and feedback, the better representative I will be. As we look at a growing democratic deficit around the world, I firmly believe that the answer is participation.
As I said in my first speech in the House: “I am a proud member of the Liberal caucus, but I am prouder still of standing here in the House as the voice of all residents of Beaches-East York.” Having grown up in this riding, and now living here with my wife and son, I take the responsibility of representing our community seriously, and have worked hard to be a strong voice in Ottawa.
Your feedback will only improve that advocacy, so I encourage you to share your ideas with me.
If you ever have any questions, concerns, or if my office staff and I can ever be of any help, don’t hesitate to reach out.
