Maybe it's the hundred-year old movie theater that sits two blocks away from your apartment. Maybe it’s the park where you walk your dog on Saturday morning. Or maybe it’s the CITGO sign you can always count on spotting whenever you pass Fenway.
Whatever it is and wherever it is, everyone has that special something that makes them feel at home.
Join Artist-in-Residence, Yixuan Zeng, in seeing home, understanding home, and making home in their summer Youth Arts Program, “Home is Here.”
For one and a half months, 12 selected teen-artists will be practicing open awareness, mindfulness, and observational drawing; finishing their art study with a collaborative mural that speaks to the question of ‘where is home?’
All materials will be provided and there is a stipend for participation of up to $700 upon full completion of the program.
This program is available for youth 14+ who are enrolled in Boston Public Schools.
We are committed to maintaining a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for all participants. Every session will be attended and monitored by an Urbano staff member.
