Let's make the Temporary Visitor's Driver's License (TVDL) a valid ID in the state of Illinois!

The Temporary Visitor's Driver’s License came into effect on July 1, 2014. This allows non-visa status individuals or undocumented immigrants the opportunity to obtain a temporary Visitor's Driver's License. Nonetheless, this temporary driver's license is not a valid form of identification in the State of Illinois.

 Pilsen Neighbors Community Council & Gamaliel of Illinois and Iowa GOII has started a campaign to demand a regular driver's license for undocumented immigrants that can be also a valid  form of identification.

¡Hagamos la Licencia de Conducir Temporal para Visitantes (TVDL) una identificación válida en el estado de Illinois!

La licencia de conducir temporal para visitantes entró en vigencia el 1 de julio de 2014. Esto permite que las personas sin visa o los inmigrantes indocumentados tengan la oportunidad de obtener una licencia de conducir de visitante temporal. No obstante, esta licencia no es una forma de identificación válida en el Estado de Illinois.

Pilsen Neighbors Community Coincil & Gamaliel of Illinois an Iowa GOII , Quad Cities Interfaith y United Congregation of Metro East han iniciado una campaña para exigir una licencia de conducir regular para inmigrantes indocumentados, que también pueda ser una forma válida de identificación.
