2020 Phalanx Honor Society Nominations - Phalanx Membership and Honorary Phalanx Membership
In 1912, Edward Dion and the Student Council organized a society to recognize those Rensselaer students who have distinguished themselves among their peers in the areas of leadership, service, and devotion to the alma mater. This society, Phalanx, became the fellowship of those most active in student activities. We encourage additional letters of recommendation and other information that will bring to light the qualities that make this nominee a viable candidate for this honor.
Please be aware that certain limits apply to these nominations. Nominees for regular membership into Phalanx Honor Society must have Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student status as determined by the Registar, be in good academic and judicial standing with the institute, and have attended Rensselaer for at least two consecutive semesters. Nominees for honorary phalanx membership in Phalanx Honor Society must have at least five years of affiliation with the Institute.
Phalanx Honor Society, as an organization of Rensselaer, complies with all federal, state and local nondiscrimination laws and provides equal opportunities for all persons regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, marital status, national origin, citizenship status, disability, military status, veteran status, or any other basis prohibited by law.
