Pitch It! is the event for you and your pitch team! Pitch It! is an annual business pitch competition hosted by the Prime Leaders Youth Collaborative for high school students across York Region to have a chance at winning cash prizes for their business ideas!

Pitch It! is back again! This year, we are working together with our sponsoring partners, Vaughan Small Business Enterprise Centre (SBEC), Richmond Hill SBEC, Markham SBEC, and York SBEC, along with our grant donor, Scotiabank, to present Pitch It! 2018, which will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major MacKenzie Dr W, Maple, ON L6A 1T1) from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Thanks to our partners, we are able to offer the competition FREE OF CHARGE TO COMPETITORS!

The prizes for the best pitches are:

First Place: $300
Second Place: $200
Third Place: $100

Professional consulting is also being offered to teams free of charge by our SBEC partners, with a chance to win a grant of up to $3000 to make your business proposal a reality with the Student Entrepreneurship Program offered by the SBECs, "Summer Company" (see below for more information)!

Lunch is provided, along with snacks and light refreshments throughout the day.

[SUMMER COMPANY OPPORTUNITY]
Here's more about the Summer Company Opportunity, which is now open to applications!

The Summer Company program gives students in Ontario between the ages of 15 and 29 an opportunity to be their own boss and explore entrepreneurship as a career option! Accepted participants also received one-on-one training, mentorship from community business people, and a provincial grant of up to $3,000 to help with start-up costs. Students will have the opportunity to be their own boss while learning what it takes to manage a business. Sales, marketing, invoicing, bookkeeping, customer relationship, management - these are just a few of the highly useful skills you will develop!

The program for 2018 is open from January 23 to May 19. For more information, visit the Summer Company website and reach out to your local Small Business Enterprise Centre.
