After and through a time of change, chaos, and grief, how can songwriting and creativity help us to connect to our future visions and cultivate resiliency?
Join us for a space to meet and greet our own creativity, exploring song-writing by way of sensory adventures. A dynamic, supportive gathering tuned to the needs of our bodies and nervous systems which will welcome various guest facilitators, community-builders, activists, healers, all within and outside the musical field, to widen and deepen our exploration of creativity and composition. All experience levels welcome. We offer this program in the spirit that our creativity is as physiologically innate to us as our lungs breathing and our hearts beating. Every day, we create conversation, plans, projects, making meaning, building meals, sermons, reports, and relationships, yet many of us feel disconnected or estranged from our creative timing and voice. What if we ventured into song-writing and creative expression by simply spending time with our imaginations, cultivating deepened relationships with our own creative sparks, voices, and timing? Facilitated by MMC leaders and special guests, this round of Composing Ourselves will explore our diverse senses in creativity and songwriting in accessible and playful ways.
