Stuff the Bus Recipient Agency Application
Please read through this application carefully:

On June 21, 2018 United Way of Ventura County (UWVC) will launch our annual Stuff the Bus campaign.

Stuff the Bus is a community effort to send children from low-income families back to school with a backpack full of school supplies. UWVC is seeking organizations to partner with for the distribution of the backpacks. Interested organizations may apply by completing the form below.

Backpacks will be distributed to multiple organizations serving Ventura County children. Consideration will be given to age and geographic diversity of program participants. Backpacks are scheduled to be picked up from the Blackstock Middle School cafeteria by the selected organizations on July 20th (more details will follow with submission of application). With the intent of extending our resources as much as possible, we ask that organizations only request a maximum total of 50 backpacks.

Eligible organizations include 501(c) 3 nonprofit organizations; community projects operating under a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization serving as fiscal sponsor; public agencies; and faith-based organizations. Projects must be open to all community members and have benefit beyond the organization’s own membership. Stuff the Bus is progressively growing and expanding. We strive to distribute to all areas of Ventura County. If your organization does not receive backpacks this year, please apply again next year.
