AllianceQ - the Disciples LGBTQ+ Alliance is seeking nominations for leadership with the organization.

One form is required per nominee.

These referrals will be evaluated for consideration by a subcommittee of the current Council on an ongoing basis. The subcommittee will review the information submitted in this form, have a conversation with each interested nominee, and then present qualified candidates to Council for a vote. Voting will occur during the Council's regularly scheduled meeting, and the term of newly elected Council member(s) will begin the first day of the month after the Council vote.

Full details about the role of Council Members in this Council Member Position Description. The Disciples LGBTQ+ Alliance Council currently meets on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 pm EST. This meeting time may change pending members' schedules.

If you would like to nominate someone for leadership, please complete the following sections to the best of your ability.

Qualified candidates will understand the history of and vision for our ministry. We are especially in need of diverse voices that represent the fullness of our church: rural and urban perspective, queer and allied people of color, individuals who are disabled, youth perspective, LGBTQ+ elder, parents of LGBTQ+ youth, skilled individuals in development as well as social media. A demonstrated commitment to justice for vulnerable groups will enhance how we can live into our mission to build a just, inclusive church.

The Council strives for diversity based on race, ethnicity, cultural background, affectional and sexual orientation, age, ability, and geographical representation. A balance of clergy and non-clergy representation is required.
