Spring 2019 Excel Workshops
The Empirical Reasoning Center and the Athena Center for Leadership Studies will be offering a series of workshops on using spreadsheet software to organize successfully. The workshops will be offered in Excel with some references to Google Sheets.

Mechanics of Creating a Budget, April 11th, 1pm, Milstein 102
Creating a budget can be daunting but this workshop led by the ERC will demonstrate how tools like excel and google sheets can help you put together a dynamic budget template. You will not only learn how to efficiently track your expenses but also chart your goals and use visuals to help better understand your financial profile. Topics covered include conditional formatting, data validation, conditional statements (if statements), and adaptive charts. No experience is necessary except familiarity with Excel's interface.

Organizing Your Job Search, April 18, 1pm, Milstein 102
As we begin chasing down that ideal position, it can be challenging to keep track of all the internship and job applications we've submitted. Learn how Excel/Google Sheets can act as your own personal assistant and help you stay organized. Don't risk missing deadlines or forgetting that essential follow up that can help seal the deal. Topics covered include conditional formatting, conditional statements, complex formatting, and organization. No experience necessary except familiarity with Excel's interface.
