Community Partner Application - People's Fair 2018

Saturday Hours: 10AM - 8:30PM
Sunday Hours: 10AM - 7:30PM

People's Fair Art & Music Festival

The People's Fair is one of the largest two-day festivals in the country with roughly 200,000 fairgoers, and is one of Colorado's longest running urban festivals featuring handmade arts & crafts, food from local and regional restaurants and live local entertainment. Our location in downtown Denver's Civic Center Park serves as a great meeting place for the thousands who attend from all around the Denver Metro region, Colorado and the West. Our unique blend of urban dwellers, suburbanites, and people from around the mountainous front range come to the People's Fair to explore and purchase the great variety of arts and crafts, enjoy the delicious food and great entertainment, and to share the many experiences the Fair has to offer.

    Community Partner Applicant Guidlines

Once again this year, we are happy to offer non-profit organizations a fundraising opportunity. As part of our ongoing commitment to our community, non-profit organizations may participate in the People’s Fair as Community Partners, assisting with the sale of beverages. Again this year: The People's Fair will not sell tickets for food and beverages! The ticket system has had its challenges over the years and in recent years seems to be increasingly unpopular with festival attendees. Last year, we saw that festival patrons were thrilled to not have to purchase tickets, and sales at bars and at the food booths saw a boost. We will again utilize the Clover system for accounting purposes at the beverage stands, which will track cash and credit card sales. Amore comprehensive training on the Clover system will be done prior to the People's Fair and additional support will be available during the festival. Again this year: Instead of sharing the revenues as we have done in the past, Community Partners will keep the tips at their booth. Community Partners will keep all tips that they make, minus the fee for using the Clover system (Approximately $30 per unit for the weekend). Participating organizations are invited to help decorate their bar, and creatively promote themselves to People’s Fair patrons. TPP reserves the right to approve additional signage, decorations, attire, etc. provided by Community Partners. Beverage stands will be consolidated into seven or eight bars serving beer, liquor and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as a Wine Pavilion and a Beer Garden. Additional satellite locations for non-alcoholic beverages may also be included. Nonprofits can apply to work an entire bar, the non-alcoholic side of a bar, or the beer/liquor side. Our preference is to have one Community Partner per full bar, but we realize that this scenario might not work for all groups. ***Due to the risk of producing an outdoor event, and the financial challenges that the People's Fair has faced over the last several years, there will NOT be a guarantee on the revenue that Community Partners will raise. However, we know from past experience that through allowing the collection of tips, and with the consolidation of the beverage stands, Community Partners have the opportunity to raise more money than in previous years (based on a good weather weekend).***
