In light of our partnership with Rowan-Cabarrus Community College (RCCC), which offers our students the opportunity to take classes for college professors and receive college credit, FOR FREE, should we align the NRHS calendar with the RCCC (starting early to end early) calendar? *

Recent research has shown that "information is quickly forgotten-roughly 56% in an hour, 66% in one day, and 75% after 6 days" (edutopia.org, 2017). Currently, our winter break is 12 days long and exams are not given until after this break. In light of this information, should we hold final exams before or after the winter break? *

For the last several years, there have been weather issues in January that has adversely affected our ability to maintain normal school hours. This year, inclement weather hindered our ability to complete our testing schedule in a timely manner, which has postponed the start of our second semester classes. In light of the above information, should we hold final exams in December or January? *
