WHAT TO EXPECT:

All children respond differently to swim lessons.  Many will adjust quickly and love the water, others will be hesitant to learn and uneasy with certain aspects of the lesson (getting their eyes wet, floating on their back and swimming without support). Some children may cry or get upset as they are challenged to try new things and practice new skills, this is not out of the ordinary and even a crying child will learn to swim with encouragement and practice. Every child has a unique learning style, and many factors affect each child’s swimming progression. Even if your child is a fast learner, multiple lessons only help to reinforce newly acquired skills and help to increase their confidence in and around the water!

All parents are encouraged to watch lessons from the side of the pool (we do not recommend parents to be in the pool).  Please provide positive encouragement to your child and observe skills that you may practice independently.  Practice helps tremendously when children are learning to swim!

After your child learns to swim, we highly suggest enrolling in our weekly refresher lessons one day per week to maintain skills.

RESCHEDULE POLICY:

If needing to reschedule or cancel any lessons due to scheduling conflicts, weather, or illness, please email the Little Aquatics office and text your instructor.

Lessons may be canceled or rescheduled within 24 hours. Failure to do so will result in you being charged for that lesson. If you are more than 5 minutes late to a lesson, the missed lesson minutes will not be added to your class time.  After waiting for 15 minutes, the instructor will leave if no one has arrived for the scheduled swim lesson.  Two lessons per package can be requested for make-up pending 24-hour notice being provided.  Individual makeup lessons are not available for any child who misses a semi-private or group class.

Instructors cannot teach if they are ill or until fever free for at least 24 hours for the well-being of your children. We ask that your family follow the same guidelines to prevent the spread of illness.

CANCELATION/REFUND POLICY:

All canceled lessons will be added onto the end of your package during regularly scheduled days and times pending availability.  We highly recommend scheduling makeup lesson(s) for any missed class during the same calendar week.  Any lesson packages canceled prior to completion of the whole package will be charged at $50 per lesson (private) or $70 per lesson (semi-private).

EATING/DRINKING PRIOR TO LESSONS:

We recommend your child eat anything 1 hour prior to lessons or drink anything 30 minutes prior to lessons.  Children who are not potty trained are required to wear a cloth or disposable swim diaper during lessons. If your child has an accident or gets ill, the lesson will conclude without the option for a makeup lesson.

BEHAVIOR:

If a child bites, hits, scratches or has excessively poor behavior during lessons it will be at the discretion of the instructor to continue the lesson. In rare cases, if poor behavior continues throughout lessons Little Aquatics has the right to cancel and refund remaining swim lessons.

POOL READINESS:

It is the responsibility of the clients to make sure the pool is suitable for lessons (i.e. open, proper temperature (80 to 92 degrees), chemicals balanced, free of debris and algae).  If the pool (including community pools) is not suitable for lessons, no make-up lesson will be offered and that lesson will count as a full lesson unless canceled at least 24 hours in advance.

POOL SAFETY:

No child is ever 100% safe in or around a pool even after completing swim lessons.  Please make sure your pool is child safe by following these highly suggested measures:

-        Supervision: Assign a water watcher when kids are in the water. This individual should be free of any distractions or cell phone usage.

-        Physical Layers: Pool fence surrounding the entire pool should remain locked at all times (make sure any pool cleaning companies lock the gate after weekly service as well)

-        Alarms: All doors leading out to a pool should remain locked and have an alarm notification system

SCHEDULING:

Our instructors do their best to be on time to lessons.  Instructors teach between 8 to 12 clients per day, so there are occasional and unexpected delays due to traffic and weather. Please allow a 15-minute window for your instructor to arrive to lessons.  Your days and times are reserved for the quantity of lessons purchased.  If you would like to renew for additional lessons, it will be based on available openings at that time.  If you plan to renew, email our office as soon as possible so we may do our best to keep your time slots reserved.  At times, your assigned instructor may change due to unforeseen circumstances.  We will work promptly to provide a new coach that matches your current schedule to the best of our ability, but this cannot always be guaranteed.  If a new coach is not available, a refund would be provided for any unused lessons.  There are no complimentary lessons offered with instructor changes.

WEATHER:

All lessons are weather permitting; lessons cannot take place when there is lightning, thunder or excessive rain.  If there is thunder or lightening within 10 miles of your pool, the instructor will notify you 1 hour prior for cancelation.  If a lesson is taking place and inclement weather occurs, the remaining time will be added to a future lesson (Example: 10 minutes in there is lightening. 20 minutes will be added to a future lesson or 10 minutes will be added to 2 future lessons).

Our swim season runs April 15th through September 30th when air and water temperature are consistently warm enough.  Based on the discretion of Little Aquatics, the season can start, and end based on weather and staffing in your area.  Any unused lessons would be refunded or the dollar value will carry over to the next calendar year if not completed by end of season.

PAYMENT:

At least 50% of your package plus registration fee is due within 24 hours of receipt of confirmation email through the online portal.  Any remaining balance is due prior to the start of your first swim lesson.  The registration fee is non-refundable and there are no refunds for completed lessons, no exceptions. Instructors cannot accept swim lesson package payment. Instructors gratefully accept gratuity.

All future session packages are to be booked through littleaquatics@gmail.com or by calling (407) 913 - SWIM

Please reach out immediately for any concerns (instructor performance, scheduling, skill progression, etc.).  Please do not wait wait until the end of a package to express concerns. We can best offer solutions early on in your package.  Please note, there are no refunds or complimentary classes offered for completed lessons.
