This form is for rising 2nd grade students. Please fill out this form in its entirety and submit. All deposits or payments need to be current in order to enroll. In order to take advantage of the Early Bird discount, all tuition for TIR needs to be paid in full by May 19. Payment should be made in one of three ways:
1. Logging onto the Temple website www.thetemplejacksonville.org. If you don't have your user name and password, please call Aliya Bass at 904.733.7078 in order to get that information. If you were a TIR non-member this year, please email Aliya at abass@thetemplejacksonville.org to get an application for Temple membership.
2. Call Aliya, Margaret Gunville or Mary Ellen Hathaway at 904.733.7078 to pay by credit card.
3. Drop off a check at Temple or put one in the mail to Congregation Ahavath Chesed, 8727 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32217. Please make checks out to Temple.
Grades 1 through 3, Sundays 9:30am – 12pm
Machaneh (Camp) TIR! For grades 1-3, we are bringing all the things we love about camp to Sunday mornings! Students will have warm and caring madrichim (teen leaders) to play games, do community building activities, and facilitate reflections on the experiences and learning they encounter as they move through “limmud (learning)” specialties including Hebrew language through movement and games, creative arts, music and interactive Torah stories.
Curricular goals for these grades include: Shabbat - how to help their families bring Shabbat into their homes. Bible Stories; Parsha Shavua - why is the Torah still important in 2019-2020? Hebrew alphabet, Reading and Decoding Hebrew. Jewish Values. Celebrating holidays, festivals, Shabbat - culture and traditions. Learning Hebrew songs, prayers, blessings - recognition and meaning of: Barchu, Sh’ma, Ha’motzi, Kiddish, Shehecheyanu, Mi Shebeirach, Modah Ani, Mah Nishtahnah, Chanukah Blessings
