The Scullery is an independent organisation dedicated to the support and development of junior sculling at all levels in the United Kingdom. It runs two major events at Dorney Lake each year: the Oarsport Junior Sculling Head and the Junior Sculling Regatta.

The Trustees of the Scullery are keen to encourage new and existing coaches who will be coaching junior scullers to acquire and extend their coaching qualifications. These could include, but are not limited to, a British Rowing Level 2 sliding-seat course, or participation in the British Rowing Coach Development Programme.

The Trustees want to encourage parity in coaching between men and women, and so will give priority to female coaches, as well as to those helping to set up new clubs and junior sculling programmes. Applicants must commit to continuing to coach junior scullers for at least two years, and are encouraged to remain in contact with The Scullery with a view to participating in further development opportunities as well as Scullery events.

Successful applicants will be required to write a letter to the Trustees on qualification or at the end of the programme saying how they have benefited from the programme and from the Scullery's support.
