There will be two workshops: one for arts practitioners in the morning, and one for community organisers in the afternoon. Both workshops are built on case studies shared during the talk and are designed to draw out the relevance of ‘research’ for each respective group of participants.
The workshop for arts practitioners is suitable for artists already working with communities while the workshop for community organisers is suitable for community organisations who have partnered with artists or arts groups or jointly organised arts programmes for community. As these workshops are discussion-based, you are highly encouraged to share your interests/experiences at the table to make the dialogue an enriching one for all.
Due to the limited places available, priority will be given to arts practitioners/community organisers who have had prior experience in local arts-based community engagement and are deemed best suited to contribute to the discussions.
