October 26 Update: We are currently taking applications for our wait list for this event, due to an awesome response. Please fill out the form below, and we will move down the wait list on October 30 for those accepted on the wait list. Pre-register your class, organization, home school, family or just yourself for our 2019 Maps, Apps, and Drones On-Campus Event as part of GIS Day 2019, hosted by UCF's Citizen Science GIS team, the Department of Sociology, and iSTEM. The event will take place in the Student Union on the UCF main campus. Students will complete hands-on activities focused on maps, apps and drones with our Citizen Science GIS team.

Target Audience: 2nd to 8th grade.

Students will engage in an interactive assembly and then participate in hands-on learning activities that may include: using mapping apps, walking across a giant map of Florida, flying mini-drones, using virtual reality goggles, learning about topography with an augmented reality sandbox, and using block coding with Sphero robots, and more!

This event will fill quickly. It is free and open to all educators and their students, but pre-registration is required. We are limited to no more than 375 attendees in the student union for this free STEM education event.

If you have questions about the event, please contact Elise Lorenzo at lorenzoelise@knights.ucf.edu. If you would like to learn more about our research and educational programs please visit our website at www.citizensciencegis.org. Citizen Science GIS is an international award-winning organization at University of Central Florida committed to changing the ways communities and scientists work together in research and education.
