Inklusiiv has launched a new initiative to challenge European VCs to promote diversity and inclusion in their own firms and the European tech industry at large. The new initiative hopes to increase awareness of the venture capital industry’s role in advancing diversity and inclusion.

As part of the challenge, VC funds are expected to undergo training to help them reveal and address unconscious biases. Bias training does not create change itself. But it’s the very first step to learn why you need a diverse team to avoid biased decision-making and something very practical to commit into. Our event co-hosts Atomico, Maki.vc and Northzone have been the first ones to support this initiative.

The Inklusiiv team hopes to have every European VC who wants to be part of a more inclusive future to commit to the challenge by the end of the year and complete the training in 2020.
