**Past Mentees: Do NOT fill out this form**
The Minority Health Professional Mentorship Program (MHPMP), is an organization that aims to develop undergraduate students professionally in order to become competitive applicants to health professional schools. Mentors who identify as underrepresented have been sought from the UF health professional schools including the College of Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, PA, PT, and OT. We are seeking mentees who are pre-health undergraduate students at UF. MHPMP hopes to combat inequalities in the health professions and those associated with access to healthcare.
If selected, you will be paired with a mentor in your corresponding healthcare field. MHPMP will be a two-semester program in which mentors and mentees casually meet once a month. Mentees will also attend general body meetings (GBMs) once a month. Being a part of the program allows for mentees to be a part of other opportunities that include but not limited to: volunteering, shadowing professionals, social events with the board, resume building events, etc.
Please fill out the application below as thoroughly as possible as this information will be used to potentially pair you with a mentor. If you have any questions about the application or MHPMP, please feel free to email the executive board at
MHPMPUF@gmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
**The application will close on January 15th, 2020 at 11:59 PM.**
Good luck Gators!
