As we noted above, we are once more inviting younger pre-teens and teens (around 5th to 6th grade) to serve classroom mentors in Godly Play, assisting the leader and even learning how to tell the Godly Play stories if they'd like.
Our older teens are invited to participate in the Thursday night Lakeshore Gender | Sexuality | Allies (GSA) Youth Group on Thursday nights at 7pm.The GSA group rotates between offerings of fellowship, service, and learning. By filling out this form, Fr. Jared will add any who sign up to the GSA Youth Group emails if you're not already on that group.
When deciding whether Godly Play mentor or GSA participant would be the best fit for your kid, we encourage parents to make that decision based on their own evaluation of their child(ren)'s maturity and likely interest. If any parents would like a regular offering on Sunday morning that is more traditional for their teenagers, just email Fr. Cramer at rector@sjegh.com, and he will see what can be arranged.
