WCSD Understanding School Finance: Session 5
We are fortunate to live in a community where stakeholders are eager to learn more about school finance and advocacy during this legislative session. Therefore, Waukee Community School District will be offering learning sessions for interested parents, students and community members. The first three sessions are filling up quickly so I’ve decided to offer a second opportunity to participate.

The content for these sessions will focus on educating the general public on how school financing and budgeting works. In addition, a description of the various levels of decision-making that occur when establishing a budget will also be shared. These sessions will be facilitated by superintendent Cindi McDonald, chief financial officer Lora Appenzeller-Miller and a member of the WCSD Board of Education. These sessions will also include opportunities for the public to ask questions and provide feedback. The number of participants for each session will be limited to 30. Please RSVP by February 14, 2018.
