2024 SEU Minor Swim Permission Waiver
Your minor child will be attending a summer camp at Southeastern University (SEU) in Lakeland, FL during which he/she will be given the opportunity to swim in the SEU pool. Red Cross Certified lifeguards will be on duty during your child’s swim experience. However, it is very important that our guards know the swimming abilities of all swimmers, especially those under the age of 18 who may not be aware of their own abilities and limitations.

STRONG SWIMMER
My child is a strong swimmer and has my permission to swim in both the deep (water depth over his/her head) and shallow ends of the pool. I understand that he/she will be given a wristband showing that he/she has permission to swim in the deep end.
NOT A STRONG SWIMMER
My child is not a strong swimmer yet and should be restricted to the shallow end of the pool. I understand that he/she will not be given a wristband. Swimmers without wristbands must stay in the shallow end.
NON-SWIMMER
My child is a NON-SWIMMER. He/she may only swim with the assistance of event staff in water no deeper than his/her armpits. Note: If event staff are not available to swim with your child, he/she may be temporarily restricted from swimming in the pool. You may wish to send a Coast Guard approved life vest to this event with your non-swimmer.
SWIM TEST
I’m not sure if my child is a strong enough swimmer to swim in the deep end, and I would like the lifeguards to swim test him/her to determine if he/she should be allowed to swim in the deep end. If he/she passes the swim test, I understand that he/she will receive a wristband allowing him/her to swim in the deep end. If he/she does not pass the swim test, then he/she will be restricted to the shallow end.
I DO NOT WANT MY CHILD TO SWIM
I do not want my child to be in the SEU pool at any time during the event that he/she is attending. I understand that he/she may have to sit on the pool deck while others swim
