Indigenous Food Network Youth Curriculum Interest Survey
The Indigenous Food Network (IFN) and Dream of Wild Health are pleased to share the Indigenous food and lifeways-inspired curriculum centered around gardening for use with your Native American students. The culturally relevant lessons in this curriculum are directly influenced from conversations with local Indigenous elders and educators. The lessons are created by Odia Wood Krueger (Métis), and focus on teaching Indigenous youth about traditional medicines, how to grow and maintain a garden, and how to care for and harvest seeds and our plant relatives. These lessons were informed by Indigenous seed keeper Jessika Greendeer (Ho-Chunk) and Indigenous elders Hope Flanagan (Seneca), Francis Bettelyoun (Oglala Lakota), and Linda Eagle Speaker (Blackfeet).
The Indigenous Food Network Youth Curriculum can be modified to fit different age groups.
The curriculum is available as a downloadable pdf that you will see on this page after you fill out this form. Printed copies are also available upon request- use this form to request a copy/copies.
