In accordance with our Vision Statement which recognizes the importance of dynamic learning and personal well being, the Harvard Public Schools understands that family trips and college visits offer important learning opportunities beyond the school environment. We encourage families to try to make these arrangements during school vacation days for the least interruption to their child’s education. In some circumstances this may not possible.  If that is the case, parents may complete this form at least five days prior to the trip date to ask for approval of up to five days per year as excused absence.  Approval is at the discretion of the principal.
