Velodonnas Road Cycling Skills Clinic #1

Time: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Meeting: Southglen Shopping Centre Parking Lot - 740 St. Anne's Rd. We will RIDE OUT to Grande Pointe. So, if you prefer to meet us there - Grande Pointe Park at 6:30 PM.
Who: All female identifying cyclists 12 years old or older. All abilities welcome.

Skills We’ll Cover:

The Basics – pedal stroke, braking, getting out of the saddle, cornering
Confident Pack Riding – we’re going to get comfortable with close contact riding (don’t worry, we’ll do this bit on the grass).
Surviving a Group Ride – drafting essentials, paceline & echelon practice, group communication.
Come with any questions you have!

What to Bring:

HELMET - mandatory. No helmet = no riding
Road bike or road-worthy bike (no cruisers, flat bar hybrids, fat bikes, tricycles or unicycles)
Water bottle
Granola bar or something to keep you happy and awake
Spare tube, tire lever, hand pump – whatever you normally carry in case of a flat. Don’t know what to do in case of a flat? We’re gonna change that.
Emergency contact with medical alert information (e.g. a card in your pocket, Road ID wristband
Your enthusiasm for learning new skills / improving skills you already have / challenging yourself
