●FOKAL POINT BEGINNERS PHOTOGRAPHY : The CF Academy Beginners Photography Club, fOkal pOint , led by Mr. Aubrey Davis, will promote creativity through photography. The students will share and critique the photographs of peers, educate and improve technical skills, and spread the love of photography throughout CF Academy. Students will learn how to photograph architecture, landscape, nature, etc. fOkal pOint will be on Wednesday from 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm for 2nd-6th Grade. Club Cost is $100 plus a Supply Fee of $45Includes a t-shirt, online gallery for each student, prints, and photo gifts. Minimum Students: 3 Maximum: 8
● FOKAL POINT INTERMEDIATE PHOTOGRAPHY : REQUIREMENTS: One prior quarter of FOKAL POINT Class. The CF Academy Intermediate Photography Club, fOkal pOint , led by Mr. Aubrey Davis, will promote creativity through photography. The students will, share and critique the photographs of peers, educate and improve technical skills, and spread the love of photography throughout CF Academy. The intermediate class will learn to lighting techniques and the use of lighting modifiers. They will also learn to edit photos and be allowed to photograph events. fOkal pOint will be on Tuesday from 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm for 2nd-6th Grade. Club Cost is $100 plus a Supply Fee of $65Includes a t-shirt, online gallery for each student, editing software for in-class use, prints, and photo gifts. The intermediate supply cost will also cover field trips and parents must attend. Minimum Students: 4 Maximum: 6
●Jr. ROBOTICS BRICKS 4 KIDZ: How would you like to turn your next LEGO creation into a robot? Jr. Robotics Club offers all the fun of building with LEGO Bricks, plus the challenge of computer programming using drag-and-drop, icon-based software. This WeDo software provides an introduction to the world of computer programming and robotics that will equip children to succeed in a technology-based market place. This fun, action-packed week combines real life skills with real kid fun! Jr. Robotics Bricks 4 Kidz will be on Wednesday's from 2:30-4:00 p.m. (90-minute classes) for 1st-6th grade. The club cost is $160 for each student (8-sessions). Minimum number of students: 6, Maximum: 15. ●INTRO TO ENGINEERING BRICKS 4 KIDZ: Bricks 4 Kidz is an award winning program based on building machines and robots using LEGO bricks! The models are based on STEM concepts (science, technology, engineering, and math). Sixty minute classes once a week will help children learn how things work while fostering their imagination. Bricks 4 Kidz will meet: every Thursday from 2:30-3:30 p.m. for K4-K5. The club cost is $160 for each student (8-sessions). Minimum number of students: 6, Maximum: 15.
●CFA WORSHIP TEAM: This exciting club is for those students who love to sing, dance, and lead worship! Our Worship Team, led by Ms. Vicky Jimenez, is designed to pump up our student body each Wednesday during chapel time. They will help lead praise and worship time and/or present a special music performance. The CFA Worship Team will meet every Monday from 3:30-4:30 p.m. for 1st-6th grade students. The cost for CFA Worship Team per activity period is $30 plus a one time $10 t-shirt cost. Minimum number of students: 6, Maximum: 15.
●IMAGINATION STATION: Imagination Station, ed by Ms. Juliet Jimenez, will bring out the artist in every child! Students in K4-6th will have the opportunity to get a hands-on approach to the arts through the use of a variety of mediums, such as paint, watercolors, and chalk. Projects will have fun and exciting themed elements that are sure to get students excited to create. Imagination Station will meet every Tuesday from 2:30-3:30 p.m. for K4-K5 grade students and Thursday from 3:30-4:30 p.m. for 1st-6th grade students. The cost for the Imagination Station per activity period is $100 plus a $50 supply fee. Minimum number of students: 5; Maximum number of students: 12.
●INTEGRITY MARTIAL ARTS: This program will be a fun, safe, and positive way for students to experience martial arts. The classes will emphasize Taekwondo basics in an upbeat, safety-first setting. Students will also have weekly lessons on Taekwondo's "Core tenants" such as confidence, discipline, and respect. At the end of the 8 week class, students will have the opportunity to test for their first martial arts rank- orange belt! Classes will be held every Monday and Wednesday from 2:30-3:15 p.m. for K4-K5 students and every Monday and Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 for 1st-6th grade students. The cost for Integrity Martial Arts is $249.00 per activity period.
●SIMONE SAYS DANCE!: The Simone Says Dance! after school and summer program is a performing arts platform designed to inspire youth through movement and rhythm, directed by Mrs. Kerri-Ann Simone, a professionally trained dancer. Classes are taught on three levels, requiring motor development, dance and fitness skills. The core curriculum focuses on the fundamentals of Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and Acrobatics while blending educational concepts. Students will receive a solid dance foundation while discovering their personal strengths and potential. The dance program will participate in two showcases throughout the school year, Fine Arts Night and the Annual End-of-Year Dance Showcase. Dancers will meet every Monday and Wednesday from 2:15-3:30 p.m. for K3 students, Tuesday and Thursday from 2:15-3:30 p.m. for K4 - K5 students, Monday and Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 p.m. for K4 VPK Only morning/afternoon students, and Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30-4:45 p.m. for all 1st-6th grade students. The dance program cost is $285 for all grade levels per activity period. Minimum number of students: 5, and there is no maximum. Students are required to wear a dance uniform provided by the program. ●SOCCER SHOTS: "Introducing your child to the world's most popular game...soccer" CF Academy has joined with Soccer Shots, a national soccer program designed for children, to introduce students to the game of soccer. Soccer Shots not only teaches children the basic skills of soccer but places a high emphasis on character development as well. Thousands of children throughout the United States each year experience the fun and excitement of Soccer Shots! New this season: daily prizes for students, player review cards, curricula aligned with the Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards, class summary emails for parents, and class action pictures posted online for parents. Classes will be held every Wednesday from 2:30-3:15 p.m. for K3-K5 students and every Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 p.m. for 1st-2nd grade students. The cost for Soccer Shots is $135.00 per activity period, plus a one time registration fee of $25 which includes an Adidas jersey worth $35! Minimum number of students: 5, and there is no maximum.
Programs offered with Required Tryouts●CFA SPORTS: Introducing our CFA students to our Intramural Sports program beginning this Fall 2017. Tryouts will be held on Tuesday, August 29th at 3:30 p.m.- 4:30 p.m. Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. Games will be on and off campus for each quarter. A letter will be sent home with details on practices, games, and payment instructions. The sports registration fee will be used to pay for referees, transportation, uniforms, and any additional costs to provide our students with a great sports program experience.
●CFA SINGERS: Come join our CFA Singers competitive team for 2nd-6th grade girls and boys. Auditions will be held in the music classroom (room 2207) on Tuesday, September 5th at 3:30 p.m. A form will be sent out with specific information.
