Welcome to the 2025 South Carolina Swimming Open Water Championships! If you're interested in officiating at this event, please complete the form below. We’ll organize officials into three time slots: (1) 5K race, (2) 3K race, and (3) 2K, 1K, and 0.5K races, which are run in close succession. Please indicate your certification level (Open Water Referee, Open Water Judge, or Apprentice) and your comfort level with various assignments (e.g., powered boat, kayak, or land-based positions).

Uniform: Hawaiian shirt (preferred) or white shirt, with blue shorts. Please also bring a wide-brim hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and footwear suitable for entering the water (e.g., sandals, Crocs). Binoculars and tally counters are helpful—bring them if you have them!

Report Times:

• 5K Race Officials: Meet on the beach near the timing tent by 7:00 AM.
• All Other Races: Please report to the timing tent 20 minutes before the race meeting.

A mandatory Open Water Officials Briefing will be held via Zoom on Wednesday, June 4 at 7:30 PM. A link will be sent to all who sign up. For new open water officials, training will be available on Wednesday, May 28 at 8:00 PM.
