FOSTER FURTHER AGREES TO THE FOLLOWING:

The sole purpose and reason for the existence of this Agreement is to provide a safe, healthful, loving foster home for an animal that is unable to provide for itself. Foster promises and agrees to lovingly care for the cat, kitten, dog or puppy and to provide food, shelter, water veterinary care as approved by the rescue and use prescriptions as prescribed. Foster will keep the animal current with rescue provided vouchers.

• You understand you do not own this pet; you are fostering for Four Paws One Heart Inc.

• I must immediately notify the rescue of any illness or injury to the foster pets in my care. If I Fail to notify the rescue, foster animals will be moved to an alternate foster home. I do not own any of the fosters in my care and must comply.

• You cannot give the pet away; keep or give to someone else to foster without the approval of the rescue. There is a process for fosters to adopt. The rescue must be advised in writing of your request to adopt. This must be received before applications are processed and meet and greets are scheduled.

• I understand I am signing a binding Agreement to foster. All kittens, cats, puppies or dogs are the property of the rescue.

• If you attempt to keep or give away any of the kittens in the rescue's care, we will take legal action including criminal and legal action.

• If for any reason, foster kittens are taken to a non-approved rescue vet, the foster waives any and all claim to confidentiality of veterinary information or records. All records, clinical notes, x-rays and information must be provided to the rescue when requested.

Foster also understands and agrees it is their responsibility to participate in assisting in the adoption of their fosters. They shall do the following for the pet in their care:

• Maintain a good diet and exercise
• Send us pictures and videos to share with potential adopters and participate in FaceBook live events when scheduled and in-person adoption events
• Let us know at least two days ahead of time when you need supplies
• Puppies should not be taken to dog parks (puppy defined as under 12 months)
• Keep (dogs) on a leash at all times outside the home (age appropriate)
• Keep cats indoors at all times and separated from current cats if the foster is not immunized.
• Contact us should your home situation change, and you can no longer keep the dog/cat. We need 72 to 96 hours to find a new foster.
• Advise immediately if pet is acting ill or needs vet assistance
• Do all possible to be available when potential adopters would like to meet foster pet or attend adoption events.
• You are not authorized to schedule meet and greets.

• Meet and greets are conducted in the foster’s home. We do not meet halfway and we do not go to adopter’s homes. It can be problematic if there are other pets in the home and the kitten, cat or dog will be more interested in the new smells than the adopter. Potential adopters should also not bring their cat or dog to your home.

• You are not authorized without approval from the organization to allow pet to go with new owners until all adoption paperwork is completed

• We reserve the right to visit the potential foster home and space.
• I understand I am responsible for ensuring all pet deposits and notifications are made to my leasing company.
• I understand Four Paws One Heart is not responsible for any injuries to a person or damage to personal property while I am fostering.
