Why the Website Was Shut Down....
Several factors have led to the decision:
- Lack of consistent engagement by registered website users
- Financial challenges associated with maintaining a robust and evergrowing site with over 900+ pages of content due to limited financial contributions to cover overhead costs
If more users had been able to contribute a small amount, such as the suggested $5 a month Contributorship, we would have not only sustained the site, but had enough to support member projects getting off the ground as well as maintaining pre-existing ones. We hope this serves as a reminder that every little bit counts when supporting community efforts. Simply put, collective contributions make a BIGGER impact!
Despite these obstacles, we are grateful for the support and dedication of our 100% volunteer-based team and the experts who shared their knowledge and expertise with all of us. We remain committed to promoting sustainability, supporting local efforts, and actively being the change we want to see in the world.
