Register for Digital Health Checklist: A Decision Support Tool
Checklist Background: The Digital Health Checklist (DHC) was created through an iterative research process with a goal of helping researchers who plan to use information and communication technologies in health research (ICTs). ICTs include, for example, wearable sensors, mobile apps, social media platforms that are used to gather individual level human data. Please review our related publications at:
The DHC is grounded in accepted ethical principles described in the Belmont and Menlo Reports with four key domains: Access and Usability, Risks and Benefits, Privacy and Data Management. Within each domain are checklist items that were identified as relevant to ethical decision making. The DHC is a practical tool to facilitate ethical decision making. As the DHC is a work in progress, we welcome your input to make it more useful.
The Digital Health Checklist is part of our ReCODE Health resources. Please direct questions/comments to Dr. Camille Nebeker at
