A community centre for Jordanhill - community survey 2019
As many Jordanhill residents will be aware, the community campaign about the redevelopment of the former Jordanhill Campus by Cala Homes included a proposal to set aside a plot of land within the campus for the building of a local community centre.
This proposal was not successful but since the “Campus Campaign” was wound up at the end of March 2018 a group of Jordanhill residents have formed a steering group to explore whether and how a community centre could be created elsewhere in Jordanhill.
The steering group needs to find out whether there is sufficient support in the Jordanhill community for a community centre and whether there are sufficient volunteers to help make it happen. Please answer honestly so that the steering group can rely on the results of this survey to decide whether or not to continue with efforts to get a community centre for Jordanhill.
Please ask all the members of your household to respond to the survey so that we hear the views of all age groups.
The survey will close on April 30th 2019 so please ensure that you respond before then.

A "Jordanhill Community Trust"
We will need to form a new community organisation (a “Jordanhill Community Trust” – JCT) to undertake the work necessary to create and run a community centre and a range of sub groups would be needed to take on specific roles – e.g. design and planning issues, business planning, communications, fundraising, etc. A board of Trustees would also need to be elected for overall management and governance.
Please answer honestly - please do not make commitments that you cannot keep.
Are you willing to help in the efforts to get a community centre?
How can you help?

I am not willing/able to help
