N.A.S. Class / Workshop Proposal

Do you have a class or workshop you'd like to teach at Neighborhood Art School?  Great! This space is here for you to teach, learn, and build community. Please review the following guidelines before filling out this form to ensure it's a good fit:

1. For Instagram Promotion: We ask that you make a flyer with the small NAS logo in the corner. This vectored image can be provided from the staff. Make sure to make the post collaborative!

2. This space is only for arts-related educational purposes. This can be a class, a talk, a book club, a gallery show, a performance, etc. 

3. We prioritize this space for Detroit residents by zip codes nearest to the space.  Folks living outside of Detroit are welcome. 

4. We charge an hourly rate for the use of space, which includes time for set up and take down. Please see the rate information on the website. (Scholarship assistance may be available- email us to ask). 

5. We provide a space and include your class information in our monthly email newsletter and post on our Instagram.  As the class host, you’re responsible for promoting and accepting RSVPs and payments directly from your attendees.  In most cases, you need to provide all supplies for your class.  See space information to see what we provide in each space. 

6. We require you to follow our check-in and check-out procedures, which involve cleaning the space after use. (Leave it how you found it).

7. If you are under 18, we require permission from a legal guardian for you to use the space. A legal guardian may also be asked to be present during your class. 

8. We will contact you within 7-10 days to notify you if your class/event has been approved. If so, to finalize, you'll need to send back a signed contract that we provide and pay a $20 non-refundable deposit to hold space on the calendar. 

9. Payment policy: You must pay for space usage the day before class. (Your $20 deposit can be counted toward this total amount).

10.  Cancellation policy: You'll need to cancel seven days ahead. In some cases, you may be able to reschedule. The $20 deposit may be able to go towards a rescheduled class.
