Commandments - Q&A#3
In the 4th commandment, God says that when you trust Him, you "honor" the authorities He has placed in your life. This means recognizing that God is at work in their work for your benefit.
In the 4th-8th commandments, God governs our thoughts, words, and deeds as they impact other people. We protect and respect one another's life, body, property, and reputation. This is how God defines how we relate to one another.
In the 9th and 10th commandments, God governs our thoughts and desires as they impact our selves. He makes us thankful for what we've got, patient for what more He might give, and joyful when someone else has more.
