Oakland First Fridays #ArtIsPower Art Submissions

Artists and art lovers are invited to submit work for inclusion in the art exhibition and silent auction for Oakland First Fridays 1st Annual #ArtIsPower fundraiser. The money raised from the #ArtIsPower fundraiser will go towards sustaining the Oakland First Fridays street festival as a free, public event, with the lowest artisan vendor fees in the region. A portion of the proceeds will also go towards supporting the live performances and interactive artists who share their talent with the community each month at Oakland First Fridays.

Artists with accepted submissions will receive the following benefits:
Inclusion in the #ArtIsPower exhibition and silent auction
A feature on Oakland First Fridays website and social media channels, which has an audience of over 36,000 (and growing) combined.
Special acknowledgement at the event, on exhibition signage, and event program.

Another way artists can support the #ArtIsPower fundraiser, is by donating items to be included in SCHWAG bags, which will be gifted to our VIP members, highest donors and sponsors. SCHWAG items can include anything from buttons, stickers, to mini paintings and keychains, etc… We are hoping to have 75 schwag bags available at the event.

Together, we can utilize the power of art to support Oakland First Fridays as a community driven platform for our local DIY artists and creative community. If you are interested in donating artwork to our silent auction, please fill out the submission form HERE.
