Thank you for your interest in becoming one of the Health Peer Advisors & Liaisons!HealthPALs are student leaders who act as liaisons between the campus community and Harvard University Health Services. As a HealthPAL, you will learn the ins and outs of the campus healthcare system, and be able to advise your peers on how to best navigate, access and manage their healthcare at HUHS. All HealthPALs are trained in CPR/First Aid and give out over-the-counter medications in their Houses/Dorms.
HealthPALs has a very important mission on our campus, and I am happy and excited to continue to work with them (and potentially you ) to help integrate and improve HealthPALs and student health this coming year!
Please keep in mind that in order to be considered for the position, you must be able to be at training during the beginning of spring semester. HealthPALs Peer Education training should be looked at similarly to a class or retreat and is mandatory to become a HealthPAL. Dates for training are located below.
After HealthPALs Peer Education training, you will be an official HealthPAL! As a HealthPAL you will have a weekly subcommittee meeting and will be expected to be at several study breaks, clinics, and events. Please understand that HealthPALs has an important mission and role on campus and will require you to commit your time.
HealthPALs was founded on the spirit of collaboration, and you will have the opportunity to find your own niche as we all work together towards a healthier community. To become a HealthPAL, we ask that you complete the short application below, highlighting your leadership potential and dedication to the campus community. All responses will be kept confidential and reviewed only by the HealthPALs selection committee.
