TFAS - Presidential Volunteer Service Awards for Youth
TFAS has earned the honor and privilege to be approved as an Official Certifying Organization for the US President’s Volunteer Service Award (see http://www.presidentialserviceawards.gov). Awardees will receive a personalized certificate, an official medallion and a congratulatory letter from the President of the United States.

Volunteer opportunities are available before, during, and after Sankranthi, Trimurthy day, Ugadi, Summer picnic, Sports and Cultural competitions, Deepavali, and other events held by TFAS. They include help with organizing the event, on-stage performances during the event, contribution of articles to Telugu Jyothi; activities promoting Telugu language, Literature, Arts and Culture; and community welfare activities.

Applicants must be TFAS members, and self-certify that they meet all the PVSA volunteer eligibility criteria listed at https://www.presidentialserviceawards.gov/terms.


* There are 3 levels (Bronze, Silver and Gold) based on age and number of hours accumulated in an year
* The volunteer hours will be counted as follows
a. All volunteer hours must be recorded with TFAS youth chair or designated representatives.
b. Must volunteer or participate in a minimum of two TFAS events in the award year.
c. Volunteer hours from other similar organizations will be accepted if certified by an officer of that organization.
d. Volunteer hours include actual participation time, preparation, reporting, and travel times.
