Parent Consent Forms received after Sunday, December 18, 2022 will be placed onto a waiting list to receive Algebra 1 High-Dosage Tutoring.

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

To help your child with math, the New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) is providing an opportunity for your child to participate in a free online Algebra 1 High-Dosage Tutoring program. Tutoring sessions will be offered between 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. on weekdays and/or 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. on weekends. To ensure maximum participation, you and your child will be able to select the best days and times that fit within your schedules.

NM Math Tutoring Corp tutors have received intensive training to ensure tutoring sessions are designed to effectively meet your child’s Algebra 1 academic needs. All tutoring sessions will occur on the approved online learning platform (Saga Connect). Because the tutors will connect with your child online, your child will need access to a computer and internet connection to participate.

Your child would be expected to attend three (3) 45-minute tutoring sessions a week beginning the second week of January 2023 for a total of 14 weeks.

NMPED currently plans to provide tutoring to 500 students statewide.

NMPED is also partnering with an external research team from MDRC and the University of Chicago to learn whether and how tutoring accelerates students’ academic growth. See section 2 for the Parent(s)/Guardian(s) Consent Form.

We would like to invite your child to participate in this Algebra 1 High-Dosage Tutoring program. If you and your child wish to participate in this free online program, please continue to Section 2 - Parent(s)/Guardian(s) Consent Form.
