Feed Kids Coalition Stories
School meals should be focused on feeding kids –without paperwork to “prove” need, without the possibility of going into debt and without stigma. This is the system Project Bread and the Feed Kids coalition are working to create. We are grateful that you are joining us in the fight to make school meals free for all kids and their families.

Project Bread is a vibrant organization with a deep commitment to creating positive social change. Project Bread does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, height, weight, or marital status. Knowing its importance to the success of our work, Project Bread is committed to diversity and inclusion, and we aspire to give a platform for a wide array of personal stories.

Sharing Your Story
Now sure what to say? Here are some ideas to get you started:
-Have you or your children positively benefited from school meals?
-Have you had trouble accessing school meals (paper work was too difficult, stigma prevented you from applying for free or reduced price meals, etc)?
-Do you have a story about school meal debt?
-How have school meals impacted your family budget?
-How would universal school meals make your life better?
Please share your experience with school meals. Project Bread is committed to providing you a safe space to tell your story, and will never use your story without your consent.
