The Royal Rose Foundation – Request Narcan

Naloxone (including brands such as Narcan®) is a safe, life-saving medication that can reverse an opioid overdose.
At The Royal Rose Foundation, we believe it should always be free and accessible.

This form includes a short training video and quiz to help you feel confident recognizing an overdose and responding in the moment.

You’ll be asked to select the option that best describes you (individual, organization, outreach worker, or media) so we can prepare your request appropriately.

At the end of the form, you’ll choose whether you would like your naloxone:

  • Shipped to you (flat shipping fee applies), or

  • Picked up in person at our Portland office (no fee).

In-person pickup is currently available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
📍 3534 SE Main St, Portland, OR

Once your request is prepared, you will receive a call or text confirming when your pickup is ready and available during office hours.

Overdose Recognition & Response Quick Guide:🚨

 Check responsiveness & breathing

Call their name, shake them, rub your knuckles firmly on their chest (“sternum rub”).

If they don’t wake up and are not breathing normally, treat it as an overdose.

Call 911 immediately

Say: “Someone is not breathing.”

Give Narcan

Tilt the head back.

Insert the nozzle fully into one nostril.

Press the plunger to spray the full dose.

Provide rescue breaths (if you are trained and able)

One breath every 5 seconds until they start breathing or help arrives.

Wait 2–3 minutes

If there is no response, give a second dose in the other nostril.

Recovery position

If they start breathing again but remain unconscious, roll them on their side with their mouth pointed down (to keep their airway clear).

Stay until help arrives

Narcan may wear off in 30–90 minutes, so the person can overdose again. Always wait for medical professionals.
