The Lewisville Public Library is a comfortable, inclusive gathering place where the community connects with resources and experience that inspire and encourage personal enjoyment and growth.

The Library presents programs that offer information, education and enrichment to the residents of our community in support of the Library’s mission and to further the goals and objectives of the Library’s strategic plan. These programs are often presented in cooperation with other agencies and institutions, as well as other public and private organizations.

Library-sponsored programs are free and open to the public. No program is allowed to serve as a platform for generating income for any group or individual. Under no circumstances may Library facilities be used for commercial or for-profit business purposes.

Program presenters must comply with all City and Library policies, procedures, and guidelines. Programs must be held within the normal operating hours of the Library, unless otherwise authorized by the Library Director. No food or drink are allowed to be served during Library programs unless authorized by the Library Director or a Library Supervisor.

Programs will be accepted based on whether the proposed program is a good fit with the Library’s strategic plan, existing Library programs, scheduling, and available resources.

The Library does not guarantee that your program proposal will be accepted.

Presenters, instructors, or performers of recurring programs will be required to submit the City of Lewisville Volunteer Packet which includes a release authorizing the City to complete a criminal background check. Presenters, instructors, or performers of recurring library programs must pass a background check before presenting their program.
