Welcome to the first step in becoming certified in the Family Matters Model Program.

Family Matters is send-home program for families with teens. Once you are certified, you, the facilitator, will call families weekly to check in, motivate progress, offer support and record outcomes. During the facilitator training you will receive instruction on how to use the program booklets as well as how to provide support for the adult family member contact. The self lead progressive booklets will encourage family communication, set family rules for alcohol & marijuana use, enhance parental supervision, and increase resistance to peer and media influences.

This opportunity is funded by the Sacramento County Department of Health Services, Division of Behavioral Health Services, Substance Use Prevention & Treatment Services as a strategy to reduce youth drug use and build community capacity.

Must attend both sessions in their entirety to receive certification.
