The Government is committed to giving access to 2Mbps download speed to every premise in the UK by the end of 2015. As part of this, Lancashire County Council in conjunction with Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK), are delivering a better broadband subsidy scheme. This scheme contributes towards the equipment and installation of a basic broadband connection.
Superfast Lancashire is opening up the scheme to premises that are currently not able to access internet speeds of greater than 2Mbps and unlikely to benefit from the current fibre deployment.
Simply complete the application form, answer the questions and the team will determine whether you are eligible for the scheme or not. This will depend on what services are currently available to you and whether or not you will be in the build plan for fibre broadband. If you wish to find out more about the fibre build in Lancashire, enter your home address into the checker at either http://gosuperfastchecker.culture.gov.uk/ or on the Lancashire website at https://www.superfastlancashire.com/check-availability to find out whether you will be benefiting from a fibre upgrade soon.
