Volunteer for Special Events
Volunteer in the Cafeteria
Volunteering in the school cafeteria is a fun way to interact with students in Grades 2-6 while helping the cafeteria staff with lunchtime service. Volunteers also help direct the children with disposal of waste in the correct manner. Two to three volunteers are present for each session and you can opt for a weekly or bi-weekly assignment. The commitment is for a term, but of course, volunteers are welcome to continue through the year! The shift is from 11:25am-12:15pm.

Volunteer in the Library
The Mulgrave Library is a special hub where students and teachers are welcomed by our professional Librarians and their supportive collection of Parent Volunteers. More than 30 volunteers are needed to help out in the Library each year. Feel free to drop in and introduce yourself to Mrs. Clayre Brough and Ms. Amanda Brooks. They would be delighted to meet you and share more information about these important volunteer opportunities.
Have you volunteered at the Circulation Desk in the Library before?
Weekly Circulation Desk Volunteers
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A FULL-YEAR, WEEKLY COMMITMENT. Duties include welcoming our students at the front desk, signing books/texts in and out on the Library computer system, shelving returned books, keeping the library tidy, preparing new books/texts for distribution, and decorating the library for special events. Circulation desk volunteers commit to a 3.5 hours shift each week (morning or afternoon), for the full school year and must attend an orientation session and on-the-job training. Volunteers coordinate shifts to begin when we drop our children at school in the morning (8:30am-12:00pm shift) or to pick up our children at the end of the school day (11:30am - 3:00pm shift). Volunteers work the same weeks that classes are in session. The current Circulation Desk schedule is now full for the 2019-2020 school year. However, personal commitments and responsibilities can change and sometimes we need to recruit new volunteers during the school year. If you would like to be considered for one of these positions, please sign up below and we will be in touch when a position opens up.
