This form is for vendors who are interested in acquiring one of the spaces in front of 1984 on Jefferson in Springfield, MO. This will be a one day event on Saturday July 12th.
Hours of Operation
The event runs from 11AM to 11PM. Vendors are expected to be in place by 12PM Central at the latest. Vendors are also expected to be in their space until 8PM. After this time you can shut down, or you can stay until 1984 closes at 11PM.
Legal operation.
1984 will be purchasing event licenses for any vendor that the City of Springfield says needs a license. If you have a business that already is registered with the city then you already have a license in place. You will be responsible for reporting any income and paying taxes to the proper channels as required by law. We will only make sure that the city is okay with you operating at our event.
No power outside.
We will not be offering any power on the sidewalk spaces in front of our building. If you need to recharge a phone, tablet or a point of sale tech, you can come inside the arcade and 1984 staff will help you plug in at our counter or other available spaces. No power cords will run outside from inside the arcade.
Space provided.
You will be provided just the space to set-up a table, chair, etc. We will not be providing any tables or chairs. What you set-up must fit inside the space outlined in chalk on the sidewalk in front of our business. You must not block the sidewalk traffic, other vendors or entrances to the arcade.
What vendors are we looking for?
Anyone with unique or hand crafted items. 80s theme'd, arcade theme'd or other merchandise that would appeal to our event attendees. Unless you have a food sales license / health code certification you cannot sale food items that are not pre-packaged and not prepared on site. If you have any doubts about this, please review

After you fill out application, then what?
Once your application is filled out, it will be reviewed by 1984 staff. If you are accepted as a vendor for this event, you will be sent an invoice from 1984 through Square to the email used on your application. The fee is $50 for sidewalk spaces / $30 for alcove spaces. You will be expected to pay this invoice within 48 hours of it being sent out. After this time, the invoice will be cancelled and the next person waiting in line will be offered the space. Please monitor your email and be ready. If you are not accepted as a vendor you will be notified within 3 business days or sooner after we have reviewed your application.
