Zendo Project Event Industry Peer Support
Thank you for your interest in participating in the Zendo Project's Event Industry Peer Support Groups, facilitated by the Zendo Project in collaboration with the DanceSafe Party in Place program. To learn more about Party in Place visit: https://dancesafe.org/partyinplace/. To learn more about the Zendo Project visit zendoproject.org.

Tier 3 Individuals are those who work (part-time or full-time) within the event, festival, music, and nightlife industries whose livelihood has been impacted by COVID-19 AND support the Zendo Project AND DanceSafe.

Group Sessions will be held weekly and are 2 hours long. Group maximum capacity is 10. Groups are open, meaning that individual attendees will change on a week by week basis. Tier 3 applications are due no later than Friday, July 17th. Details at dancesafe.org/partyinplace/peer-support-services.

These sessions are facilitated by Zendo Project staff and volunteers and are opportunities for Event and Festival staff to come together to share experiences in a community format. Sessions are available for those who have been recently employed in the events industry. After you submit your application you will be contacted by one of our staff about the status of your application.

The Zendo Project is a program of MAPS, the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Harm Reduction. MAPS has been providing peer support services at mass gatherings and events for over 20 years.

The Zendo Project has historically not provided peer support outside of the physical festivals and events we attend. Online programs present a novel circumstance in which the Zendo Project is excited to extend its peer support services; however, a comprehensive set of concerns and limitations is not yet clear in this context. The Zendo Project is now offering its peer support services digitally, but will limit its scope of services in a way that is consistent with digital formats.

I have volunteered for: *
You do not have to have volunteered for Zendo Project or DanceSafe to qualify as an applicant. We are just curious :)
My livelihood working in the event or nightlife industry has been impacted by COVID-19. *
These groups are run specifically for individuals who have experienced loss of work (NOT volunteer work, paid work: part-time or full-time and contracted or employed individuals qualify) in the events industry leading to significant financial impact. You must meet this qualification in order for your application to be considered.
Other Current or recently affiliated Event Industry Organization/Company(ies) *
Tier 3 applicants must be currently or recently employed or contracted with an event, festival, or nightlife organization and whose livelihood has been impacted by COVID-19. Volunteerism (not remunerative) affiliation with an organization alone does not qualify an individual for this particular group.
Please tell us a little bit about yourself, how your livelihood in the events industry has been impacted by COVID-19, and what you are hoping to receive from a peer support group. *
