RubyConfBY 2018 - Call for Presentations
Hello! Thank you for your interest in being a speaker at RubyConfBY (
The conference will take place in Minsk, Belarus, on April 21.

Proposals should include as many details as possible about the topic and format for the presentation. Vague and overly broad proposals don’t showcase your skills and knowledge. The more you can tell us, the more likely the proposal will be selected.

CFP ends on Sunday, March 11th, 2018. Results will be announced on March 20, 2018.

Tips for writing a good proposal for a good talk
This is a developer conference, tell us why your presentation is a good fit for RubyConfBY.
• Talk about real world scenarios and emphasize knowledge transfer from your experiences
• Let people know what your talk is about through a simple and topical title
• Provide as many details as possible
• Think about the audience, let them know what they will take from your speech
• Limit the scope of your talk to what you can cover in 30 minutes
• It’s acceptable to mention your company’s product during a presentation but it should never be the focus of your talk
Selected speakers will get:
• Invitation to a pre-party and after-party dinners with the leaders of Ruby community and participants of the conference
• Invitation to a short tour around Minsk
• Paid hotel from April 20 to April 22 (2 nights)
• Reimbursed plane tickets
• Lunch at the conference
• Visa invitation if needed (no visa is needed if you arrive for up to 5 days)
