WMA String Festival Application Form
World of Music and Arts' inaugural Strings Competition aims to recognize top young string students currently studying at WMA for their excellence in string performance.

Application Deadline: February 1, 2019
Competition Date: Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 3pm
Students will be scheduled and informed of their specific time slot following the application deadline.
Competition Location: Tom Lee Music, 150-3631 No. 3 Rd, Richmond

Adjudicators: 1 judge will be chosen from outside of WMA’s faculty.

Junior Division:
RCM level 1-3
Max total time: 10 mins

Intermediate Division:
RCM level 4-6
Max total time: 15 mins

Senior Division
RCM level 7-9
Max total time: 20 mins

Eligibility:
Student must be a registered private student in their instrument for the competition for the 2018/2019 school year.

Rules:
Students must complete registration form and pay applicable registration fee ($30) by 11:59pm on February 1, 2019. No late submissions will be accepted
Participants must prepare two (2) contrasting works/or movements of works within the maximum allotted total time depending on division.
Please refer to the current RCM syllabus when choosing works. If a work is not in the syllabus, please consult with your teacher.
A copy of the solo part or piano reduction must be submitted to the adjudicator. Photocopies are allowed.
Piano accompaniment is required for all accompanied works. Students are required to provide their own accompanist.
Competition is open to public audience.
