The West Country Sustainability Coalition is working across Alberta to collect signatures on a petition to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta to "to introduce legislation to prohibit any new coal exploration or development on the Eastern Slopes of Alberta, including expansions of existing operations, in the entire area previously covered by the 1976 Coal Development Policy"

Volunteers Needed!

We are looking for volunteers to host a petition sheet at their business, or collect petition signatures within their own networks and community events. Official petitions to the Legistative Assemble of Alberta must be physical signatures in blue or black ink with postal codes. We are trying to collect 10,000 signatures. So far we have over 2000 signatures collected.

Because these must be physical signatures, we are asking volunteers to complete the following form so that we can reach out to you to collect completed sheets.
