For these positions please be aware that FOCUS-sponsored volunteering only occurs over 6-7 predetermined weekends in a semester. Please also be aware that we request every E-Board member volunteer at MINIMUM of two times a semester. All E-Board members are required to hold at least 2 office hours in the Bernhard Center Student Organization Center as well as to attend all E-Board meetings, time and date set based on availability, in addition to attending Full Organization meetings on biweekly Thursdays at 8pm.

Vice President of Volunteer Services: The Vice President of Volunteer Services is in charge of communicating with our community partners and coordinating volunteer events. They are also in charge of the Volunteer Services team which includes the Group Relations Director, Individual Relations Director, and Site Leader Director. After a year as the Vice President of Volunteer Services they will become the President the following year.

Vice President of Marketing and Social Media: The Vice President of Marketing and Social Media is in charge of updating and maintaining all FOCUS Kalamazoo Social Media sites. They are also in charge of creating promotional and marketing materials such as t-shirts, posters, and other merchandise. They also interact with the community through promotional opportunities such as local radio channels and newspapers.

Vice President of Finance: The Vice President of Finance is charge of making a funds/spending plan for each semester. They also help monitor the bank accounts and money going into and out of the organization. They reach out to the community and plan fundraising opportunities for the organization.

Individual Relations Director: The Individual Relations Director is in charge of promoting events to WMU student volunteers that are not a part of the FOCUS Kalamazoo organization. They reach out and fill events with individual volunteers, they also help create bonding events for the organization.

Group Relations Director: The Group Relations Director is in charge of promoting events to Groups of WMU Students such as RSOs and Greek Organizations. They coordinate volunteer events for those groups and communicate that with the volunteer services committee.

Executive Secretary: The Executive Secretary is in charge of recording attendance for meetings, planning and reserving rooms for events and meetings, and maintaining the FOCUS Kalamazoo website. They are also in charge of creating and distributing meeting agendas.

Development Director: The Development Director is in charge of educating new members about FOCUS Kalamazoo, sustainable volunteerism, and helps them develop leadership skills and experiences.

Site Leader Director: The Site Leader Director organizes and leads the site leaders (see below) that lead our volunteer events. They conduct site leader training and site leader interviews for all prospective site leaders.

Site Leaders are FOCUS representatives present at every event offered during our volunteer weekends. They are required to have a car, as they are responsible for driving volunteers without a car to and from events that they are leading as necessary. Site Leaders should expect to arrive early at the sites they are volunteering at in order to communicate with the nonprofit community partner and to direct volunteers to where they need to go. Site Leaders will have access to a Google Form where they will log all volunteers present at an event so that FOCUS can ensure volunteers are receiving Signature credit. Site Leaders are expected to hold an open discussed called a "FOCUS Tank" at the end of an event to reflect on the three core tenants of our mission statement -- connections, development, and education -- as well as to take photos during the event for our Social Media Director and promotional items. All Site Leaders are expected to be present at Full Organization meetings (biweekly Thursday nights at 8pm) and all Site Leader meetings (held at the discretion of the Site Leader Director based upon availability).
